Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Level B) to ensure production equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently. In this mid-level role, you will maintain critical machinery, minimize downtime, and support product quality while collaborating with a team and developing advanced maintenance skills.

You will perform PM and PdM activities, use tools and CMMS to document work, and participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment performance.

Qualifications

• Strong background in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
• Proven mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and lockout/tagout (LOTO).
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on a wide range of industrial equipment.
• Maintain mechanical systems including bearings, shafts, pulleys, belts, motors, and gearboxes.
• Service conveyance systems, piping, and utilities (steam, air, water).
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems to reduce downtime and sustain reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment issues affecting safety, quality, and production.
• Identify root causes of mechanical failures and communicate corrective actions to teams.
• Execute repairs efficiently and document findings and recommendations.
