Job summary

Assistance Technique Internationale in Monroe, NC is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to keep our production lines running and equipment reliable. You will inspect, repair, replace and install mechanical systems and perform preventative maintenance to meet production goals.

The role requires reading blueprints, troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems, and performing basic welding and fabrication.

Qualifications

• General HS Diploma / GED required.
• Two years of trade school or equivalent industrial mechanical or electrical experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Basic computer skills to maintain records and parts inventory.
• Ability to use test equipment for quality repairs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lay out, and perform operations to install, maintain and repair plant equipment and accessories.
• Troubleshoot using manuals, schematics, and diagrams to diagnose and eliminate problems.
• Safely install, maintain, and upgrade 3-phase motor control systems and AC/DC circuits.
• Understand fluid power systems; troubleshoot, install, and repair power units, valve operation, cylinders, motors, pumps.
• Perform basic fabrication by cutting and welding operations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Follow all company and equipment safety guidelines and ethics rules.
• Maintain lift truck operator’s license and other material handling equipment.
