Job summary

Wayne Farms is seeking a maintenance technician to sustain and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveying systems at our poultry processing facility. You will read blueprints, perform preventative maintenance, and diagnose complex issues, ensuring operations meet safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma and NOCTI Mechanical/Electrical certifications (Level I and II preferred).

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
NOCTI Mechanical/Electrical test, Level I certified.
Pass NOCTI Mechanical/Electrical test, Level 2 required.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, as well as conveyors, pumps, steam and electrical systems using blueprints and schematics.
Identify root causes of complex mechanical and electrical issues and perform repairs using welding, fabrication, basic pipefitting and electrical/process control knowledge.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as scheduled.
Suggest permanent fixes for recurring mechanical or electrical problems.
Identify and correct unsafe conditions and escalate when needed.
Assist with maintaining blueprints, manuals, and procedures files as needed.
Follow company policies and NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines; work legally and safely.
Train entry-level employees as needed.
