Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is seeking a maintenance mechanic to service and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment in a poultry processing plant. The role uses blueprints and diagrams to ensure equipment operates within specifications and tolerances.

The position includes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and periodic inspections. Ability to read schematics, work with basic welding and electrical controls, and train junior staff is valued. Night and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and schematics.
• Able to read and understand diagrams and schematics.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English for work-related instructions.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.
• Strong safety and compliance mindset.

Responsibilities

• Under minimal supervision, maintain and repair mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and conveying systems.
• Identify root causes and perform repairs using welding, fabrication, pipefitting and electrical controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as scheduled.
• Propose permanent fixes for recurring mechanical or electrical problems.
• Identify unsafe conditions and seek assistance when needed.
• Assist with maintaining blueprints and operation manuals.
• Train entry level employees as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
