Job summary

ABX Innovative Packaging Solutions, LLC in Columbus, GA is seeking a Maintenance Person-Industrial Mechanical to join the Maintenance department. This full-time role focuses on keeping production equipment running safely and reliably in a packaging manufacturing plant.

You will troubleshoot electrical circuits with a multi-meter, weld and wire three-phase motors, perform routine mechanical repairs, manage preventive maintenance inspections, and support waste handling and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be able to use a multi-meter to troubleshoot basic electrical circuits.
• Must be able to weld and wire a three-phase motor.
• Basic machining knowledge and ability to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in requisitioning supplies and maintaining records.
• Perform mechanical repairs on approved work orders with minimal supervision.
• Install/modify equipment with supervision from Maintenance Supervisor or Plant Engineer.
• Conduct safety/preventative maintenance inspections and report deficiencies.
• Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste activities as assigned.
• Perform routine work such as bearing replacement and equipment settings.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions on production and facility equipment.
• Ensure spills are cleaned per Hazardous Waste Management plan.
• Contribute to total quality management and continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
