Job summary

Oil-Dri Corporation of America in Georgia seeks a Maintenance Technician Journeyman responsible for routine repairs of packaging, processing and plant structures. This multi-craft role requires welding, electrical troubleshooting, and basic pneumatics.

You will install, maintain, and repair equipment, follow blueprints and SOPs, perform preventative maintenance, and participate in safety protocols. Requires 3–5 years of experience; ability to read manuals and diagrams; availability for call-ins;

Qualifications

• Must meet written and hands-on assessment requirements.
• Must pass computer assessment.
• Must read, comprehend and act on SOPs and related documents.
• Must be available for call-in maintenance.
• Must read and understand shop manuals, diagrams and blueprints.
• Basic industrial electricity knowledge and ability to perform minor electrical repairs.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems.
• Willingness to attend classes to enhance mechanical skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• 3 years of experience required, 5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs plant machinery, equipment and structures.
• Diagnoses failures and performs repairs.
• Performs preventative maintenance and documents procedures.
• Follows blueprints, manuals and lockout/tag out procedures.
• Uses hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, and testing instruments for repairs.
• Performs plumbing and pipe fitting as needed.
• Performs welding, brazing, cutting torch work and layout.
• Maintains HVAC systems.
• Keeps work areas clean and safe.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
