Job summary

Alkegen is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform skilled maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, tools, and structures at our Iowa facility. You will use test instruments, hand and power tools, and precision devices to service mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and support capital improvement projects.

The role requires ability to read blueprints, interpret technical drawings, and collaborate with internal teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma; manufacturing experience a plus.
• Knowledge of reading drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, and ePac systems.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to work, health and safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Diagnose and repair machinery, equipment, tools, and facilities.
• Read, interpret, and apply written instructions, drawings, and schematics.
• Order parts and components for machines and assist with capital improvements.
• Maintain and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Participate in kaizen events and lean manufacturing initiatives.
