Job summary

Super Steel in Mequon, WI is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our facility and equipment running safely and efficiently. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and complete repairs across manufacturing equipment and facility systems.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Forklift maintenance and general facility upkeep are also part of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training is a plus.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred.
• Experience with industrial machinery, facility systems, or similar hands-on roles.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Perform maintenance on forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Address facility-related issues including plumbing and building maintenance.
• Inspect equipment to identify wear or potential problems before downtime.
• Assist with installation, setup, relocation, and startup of new machinery.
