Job summary

Celerity Staffing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure in our Madison, Wisconsin facility.

The role requires strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, the ability to diagnose issues, and hands-on experience in an industrial setting. You will perform preventative maintenance and collaborate with production to keep operations safe and efficient.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, fluid power diagrams and mechanical blueprints.
• Experience using maintenance tools, testing equipment, and shop machinery.
• Forklift operator license or ability to obtain one.
• Basic computer skills; JDE experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment, motors, controls, and electrical systems.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Install and maintain electrical systems and equipment per codes and safety requirements.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and fluid power issues.
• Maintain facility systems including plumbing, HVAC, and building infrastructure.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
• Use testing instruments and tools to complete repairs.
• Maintain maintenance documentation and assist with parts inventory.
• Collaborate with production to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area following safety policies.
