Job summary

County Materials in Green Bay, WI is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to support safe, efficient manufacturing operations. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems to maximize uptime and minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience, with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, and electrical systems. You will collaborate with production, engineering, safety, and maintenance teams to meet

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in plant or industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, mechanical repair, welding, electric motors, conveyors, steel fabrication, and overhead cranes
• Demonstrated ability to work as a self motivated, proactive, and multitasking team player
• Solid understanding of industrial maintenance practices and production equipment operations
• Electrical license preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair manufacturing and production equipment during active operations
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Respond quickly to emergency and unplanned equipment failures to reduce production downtime
• Maintain compliance with safety standards, policies, procedures, and documentation requirements
• Perform steel fabrication and welding for equipment repair, modification, and installation
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and work orders
• Use hand tools, power tools, meters, welders, torches, and material-handling equipment safely and effectively
• Weld, fabricate, and install machine components as needed
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with OSHA and company standards
• Source parts and supplies, obtain vendor quotes, and install replacement components
• Coordinate and communicate with vendors and external contractors for equipment maintenance and installation projects
