Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Lafayette, LA. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of pumps, motors, valves, and process equipment to keep production running safely and efficiently.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with technical maintenance training and strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems. HVAC certification is a plus. Minimum 3 years of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or mechanical repair is a plus.
• HVAC certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, compressors, boilers, and other process equipment.
• Repair and replace mechanical and electrical components to maintain plant operations.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and complete emergency repairs in a timely manner.
• Maintain and repair piping systems, steam lines, valves, and utility equipment.
• Conduct inspections and document maintenance activities accurately.
• Assist with installation, repair, and replacement of plant equipment and components.
• Support safety procedures including LOTO and 5S; participate in safety meetings.
