Primary Duty:

The position provides support for electrical/mechanical problems with equipment and facilities, including predictive and preventative maintenance in a steel fabrication shop. Responsibilities include machine management, maintenance, and leading special projects related to equipment, facilities, and systems development. The role also involves adhering to all safety policies, with operations running on two shifts (5:30 am - 3:30 pm & 3:30 pm - 1:30 am), primarily working four 10-hour shifts (Monday-Thursday).

Working Responsibilities:

1. Follow all OSHA safety practices, wear personal protective equipment, and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
2. Support electrical, mechanical, and technical issues.
3. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and diagnose various manufacturing equipment.
4. Handle machinery such as perforators, CNC turret presses, press brakes, routers, welders, drill presses, powder booths, and ovens.
5. Perform repairs and maintenance on production machinery, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
6. Install, modify, and relocate machinery, utilizing various fabrication and maintenance skills.
7. Repair and modify building and plant systems as needed.
8. Troubleshoot and repair components like rolls, shafts, bearings, drive belts, chains, gearboxes, pumps, valves, and piping systems.
9. Read and interpret manuals, schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
10. Identify and complete predictive and preventative maintenance tasks and weekly inspections.
11. Manage work order backlog and maintain tools and workspaces.
12. Perform other duties to enhance plant reliability.
13. Conduct daily safety risk assessments.
14. Lead systems development initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• 5+ years in an industrial environment.
• Machining and fabrication experience.
• High-level troubleshooting skills for manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with electrical/mechanical presses, hydraulics, and combustion systems.
• Mechanical tool and die experience.
• Automation equipment experience.
• Proficiency with conveyors, mechanical drive systems, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to perform precision tasks with tools like lasers and dial indicators.
