Job Description

Gerhart is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our remote team in Albany, NY. The ideal candidate should be driven, hands-on, possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and thrive in a dynamic environment. The role involves working closely with experienced technicians to learn about industrial weighing equipment, including testing, repairing, calibrating, and installing.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform installation, calibration, and maintenance of customer equipment.
2. Record and maintain testing data accurately according to standards.
3. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair weighing equipment mechanically and electrically.
4. Communicate findings and solutions effectively to customers.
5. Maintain an efficient work schedule and keep customers informed.

Qualifications:

1. Basic understanding of 120VAC wiring and/or DC signal wiring.
2. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
3. Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
4. Ability to bend, crawl, and lift 50 lbs safely.
5. Valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a CDL.
