Scope of Job:This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems. Follows standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness. Performs equipment failure analysis to complete preventive and unscheduled maintenance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems. Logs equipment modifications and maintenance details in the designated system.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Repairs and maintains, in accordance with operation manuals and manufacturer's specifications, machinery, and mechanical equipment, such, conveyor systems, and production equipment, by using hand, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Troubleshoots equipment downtime and implements countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
  • Creates requisitions for parts and materials needed for projects assigned.
  • Performs equipment calibration and changeover.
  • Attends company scheduled training classes.
  • Complies with company and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
  • Collaborate with production and support departments to ensure food safety and the quality of our products.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education: Highschool diploma or GED required.

Experience: Formal training in the following: welding, sheet metal, machine work, plumbing, equipment repair, mechanical system, electrical systems, CMMS systems, and equipment calibration. Additional years of experience may substitute for training. Must have 1 to 3 years of relative experience required. Five years' experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Additional years of experience may substitute for training.
