Job summary

Farmer Brothers Co. is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for the Portland, OR facility. The role focuses on highly skilled mechanical and electrical work to maintain light to medium packaging and processing equipment, conveyors, pumps and related systems.

You will troubleshoot, repair and overhaul plant equipment with minimal supervision. You will read micrometers, calipers and indicators to ensure precise tolerances, perform motor control troubleshooting, and handle shop tasks such as welding

Qualifications

High school Diploma or GED or equivalent.
5+ years journeyman level experience in maintenance/repair of industrial equipment.
Passing grade of 70+ on the M2 Skills Assessment.
Applicable training and courses listed (examples: COMT 1351,1355,1356,1360; CMBT 1302,1445; CSCI 1170; ELEC 1341,1343; MATH 0105,0306; MCHN 1237,1238; WLDG 1421).

Responsibilities

Inspect, repair and overhaul mechanical drives, motors, pneumatic and hydraulic components.
Use precision instruments to check clearances on components.
Troubleshoot motor control centers and electro-mechanical drives.
Perform building maintenance repairs via work orders.
Conduct machine shop tasks including fabrication, welding and machining.
Requisition parts, hardware, lubricants and tools.
Comply with SQF 2000 Code.
