JOB
HA International is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician. The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving machinery and mechanical equipment within our manufacturing facility. The role aims to minimize downtime and optimize system performance through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. Our products serve the metal casting industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and engage with operators to monitor process equipment and safety devices, supporting operational success.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment such as conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and HVAC systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Collaborate with production teams to reduce downtime and ensure smooth production flow.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance logs, and parts inventory using Limble software.
- Assist with installing new machinery and plant upgrades or modifications.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure OSHA and company safety standards are met.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide emergency maintenance support during off-hours when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or higher education.
- At least 2 years of experience in an equipment maintenance role.
- Willingness to pursue further education in mechanical, electrical systems, troubleshooting, and project management.
- Understanding and commitment to industrial safety programs.
- Strong focus on safety, including programs like CSE, LOTO, etc.
- Compliance with all EH&S obligations on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and industrial systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and PLC systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
