Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician II to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair complex systems and equipment across assigned areas. The role requires a journeyman license and 5 years of related experience in industrial maintenance.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related experience in industrial maintenance.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical machinery.
• Licensed journeyman or above.
• Ability to read a caliper, micrometer, and measuring instruments.
• Ability to track preventive maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair complex systems and equipment in one or more assigned areas.
• Perform electrical work, run conduit, pull wire, make final connections in electrical panel, motors, disconnects, etc.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems in all equipment.
• Plan new installs, order supplies, parts, equipment and materials for projects and programs.
• Respond to emergencies and callouts as required.
• Coordinate and monitor work of Maintenance Specialists and Maintenance Technician 1.
• Operate specialized equipment and vehicles.
• Demonstrate the Company’s core values and comply with all policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 75 lbs. occasionally.
• Safely walk and stand for extended periods in a facility that is not climate-controlled.
• Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel.

What you’ll need to succeed as an Industrial Maintenance Technician II at XPO

• 5 years of related experience in an industrial maintenance role or equivalent experience in HVAC, Mechanical or Electrical trades.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical machinery.
• Licensed journeyman or above
• Ability to read a caliper, micrometer, and various other measuring instruments.
• Ability to track preventive maintenance schedules.

Preferred qualifications:

• Ability to weld and fabricate.
• Knowledge of record and file keeping
• Computer and Microsoft Office skills including: Excel, Outlook and Word
