Job summary

XPO is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician II to join our Arkansas operations. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair complex systems and equipment with an emphasis on electrical work, conduit, and motor connections.

The role requires 5 years of related maintenance experience, a journeyman license, and the ability to read measuring tools like calipers and micrometers. You will plan installs, order parts, respond to emergencies, and mentor Maintenance Specialists.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related experience in an industrial maintenance role or equivalent experience in HVAC, Mechanical or Electrical trades.
• Ability to read a caliper, micrometer, and various other measuring instruments.
• Ability to track preventive maintenance schedules.
• Strong time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair complex systems and equipment in one or more assigned areas.
• Perform electrical work, run conduit, pull wire, make final connections in electrical panel, motors, disconnects etc.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems in all equipment.
• Plan new installs, order supplies, parts, equipment and materials for projects and programs.
• Respond to emergencies and callouts as required.
• Coordinate and monitor work of Maintenance Specialists and Maintenance Technician 1 to ensure timely and efficient completion of assigned projects.
• Operate specialized equipment and vehicles.
• Demonstrate the Company’s core values and comply with all Company policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

What you’ll need to succeed as an Industrial Maintenance Technician II at XPO

• 5 years of related experience in an industrial maintenance role or equivalent experience in HVAC, Mechanical or Electrical trades.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical machinery.
• Licensed journeyman or above
• Ability to read a caliper, micrometer, and various other measuring instruments.
• Ability to track preventive maintenance schedules.
• Strong time management skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Ability to weld and fabricate.
• Knowledge of record and file keeping
• Computer and Microsoft Office skills including: Excel, Outlook and Word

Industrial Maintenance Technician IIare required to:

• Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 75 lbs. occasionally
• Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time in a facility that is not climate-controlled.
• Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel.
