Job summary
Continental is seeking a maintenance technician for on-site work in Mount Vernon, IL. You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, steam, hydraulic, and pneumatic drive systems, bleed hydraulics, and perform sheet metal work as needed.
The role requires reading schematics and adhering to safety protocols. Expect to work with maintenance, engineering, and production teams, follow LOTO and PPE procedures, and be available for overtime.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Automotive Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or similar.
- 3–5 years of industrial mechanical experience required; mechanical testing experience preferred.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; no visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, steam, hydraulic and pneumatic power transmission systems.
- Bleed air from hydraulic systems before and after maintenance.
- Repair lubricants in mechanical systems such as gearboxes and bearings.
- Diagnose piping and valves; interpret hydraulic/pneumatic/mechanical schematics.
