Job summary

Continental is hiring in Illinois for a maintenance technician role focused on mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drive systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining pumps, gearboxes, piping and duct work, with strict adherence to safety rules and PPE.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent; 3-5 years industrial mechanical experience.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, steam, hydraulic and pneumatic power transmission systems.
Bleed air from hydraulic systems before/after maintenance.
Replace lubricant in mechanical systems such as gearboxes and bearings.
Repair piping (Ferris and non-Ferris), valves, traps, strainers and related devices.
Diagnose with hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical schematics and gauges.
Use hand tools to replace worn or broken parts.
Perform sheet metal work for ducts, guards, pans, vents and related equipment.
Communicate with maintenance, engineering and production teams.
Follow LOTO procedures and wear PPE for a safe workplace.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace; be available for overtime.
