Job summary

Composite Factory in Mooresville, NC, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general equipment, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of maintenance experience, OSHA respirator certifications, and the ability to work independently. A high school diploma or GED is required, with trade school certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must pass respirator fit testing and remain clean-shaven per OSHA standards.
• Must wear a tight-fitting respirator for the shift as required.
• Complete annual respirator fit testing and related medical evaluations.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience with HVAC, plumbing, and compressed air systems.
• Trade school or community college certification preferred.
• HVAC experience preferred.
• Experience using hand tools, electrical tools, and machinery.
• Proficient in operating sit-down forklifts.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of control systems (VFDs, PLCs).
• Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Flexibility, responsiveness, and strong work ethic.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident per ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical systems including pumps, motors, and ovens.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems including lighting, panels, and wiring.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly.
• Perform general building maintenance such as plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
• Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and equipment logs.
• Ensure OSHA, local codes, and safety policies are followed.
• Support facility improvement projects and equipment installations.
• Follow SOPs to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and manage time/resources.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
