Job summary

MOR PPM Inc. in Morganton, NC is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the Continental Automotive plant with air compressor maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general site maintenance.

You will follow supervisor guidance, work shifts with possible overtime, and adhere to safety rules in a tobacco-free facility. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, plant projects, and supporting warehouse automation and parts washer upkeep, with attention to safety and

Qualifications

Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, on technical matters
Be a team player with a positive attitude
Plumbing: Installation/Repair of PVC piping, clearing drains, repairing leaks
Electrical: Installation/Repair of industrial hardware per National Electrical Code
Repair and maintain air compressors – 8 bar & 200 bar systems.
Ability to work independently
Have a complete set of basic hand tools
Ability to stoop, bend, manipulate tools in small spaces
Perform work at heights

Responsibilities

A Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform all duties per plant safety guidelines.
The key focus of this position is to keep operations running smoothly, perform various preventive maintenance tasks, and carryout special projects deemed as plant goals for the overall plant operation.
