Job summary

JLL is seeking an industrial maintenance technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building equipment at a pharmaceutical manufacturing and office site in Thousand Oaks. The role requires hands-on electrical/mechanical support for boilers, chillers, and controls, along with EMS/BMS systems and preventive maintenance.

The candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, be able to read system data, and perform with minimal vendor support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or state equivalent.
• Two years of related trade schooling or equivalent.
• Factory training / experience with commercial equipment.
• Experience - Minimum five years' experience working with mechanical systems.
• Prior experience in an industrial maintenance service technician role is highly desirable.
• Experience in working with commercial and industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all equipment with a professional and safe approach.
• Review and analyze system data with Chief Engineer on maintenance changes.
• Provide professional feedback to update preventative maintenance procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date system documentation for repairs or changes.
• Monitor operation of chillers, boilers, HVAC, and mechanical/electrical equipment; analyze operations and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance with proper documentation and cleanup; report shortages to Chief Engineer.
• Maintain tools and order supplies for installation and repairs.
• Support moves of office furniture, machinery, and equipment as requested.
• Work on roofs of buildings as needed.
• Comply with safety policies for hazardous materials and refrigerants.
