Job summary

M&H Valve Company in Anniston, AL is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician. You will maintain safety, diagnose machinery, and perform repairs on hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps and piping. The role requires teamwork, adherence to PPE protocols, and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Vocational cert in Industrial Maintenance or related program; or apprenticeship; or 2 years' industrial maintenance experience.
• Passing written and hands-on exam for hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, piping, lubrication and rigging.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal safety and the safety of teammates.
• Assist supervision in maintaining a safe, healthy work environment.
• Wear PPE such as fall, respiratory, hearing, and eye protection.
• Use proper lifting and ergonomic techniques.
• Support The McWane Way Principles.
• Inspect, operate, or test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Plan and lay out repair work from manuals and schematics.
• Request equipment and supplies to complete repairs.
• Transport tools and materials to job sites.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions.
• Dismantle machines to access defective parts.
• Install or repair machine parts using hand and power tools.
• Lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and related parts.
• Perform basic cutting and welding tasks.
• Record production, repair, and maintenance data.
• Log labor hours in CMMS and communicate with the team.
• Coordinate installations with supervisors and other trades.
• Help the team reduce bottlenecks and reach goals.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects.

Education

High school diploma/GED preferred.
