Job summary

M&H Valve Company in Alabama is seeking a general laborer for the machine shop floor who will perform cleaning, material handling, and basic assembly support tasks.

You will follow work orders, maintain safe work environments, operate tow motors and sweepers, monitor coolant tanks, and apply lubricants as directed. A high school diploma is preferred and forklift certification may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain certifications to drive motorized equipment (forklifts and man lifts).
• Must be safety oriented for self and others.
• Must be willing to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensures personal safety and safety of team members.
• Reads work orders and determines material or equipment needs.
• Maintains cleanliness of machining and assembly areas.
• Operates tow motor, skid steer, sweeper and related equipment.
• Monitors and cleans coolant tanks and sumps.
