Job summary

Chaucer Foods Ltd is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production and facility equipment in a food manufacturing environment.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work on a wide range of industrial systems without escalating issues. Pay ranges from $28.00 to $32.00 per hour and involves in-person work at our facility in Oregon.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in maintenance or mechanic roles.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in manufacturing or food processing.
• Strong troubleshooting ability with electrical systems across voltages.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, meters and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize repairs and respond to urgent issues.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems across multiple voltages.
• Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues on processing and packaging equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on boilers, steam systems, air compressors, pumps, and motors.
• Maintain vacuum pumps, ammonia refrigeration equipment, and related systems.
• Assist with equipment installations, modifications, rebuilds, and improvement projects.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and manuals.
• Document repairs and complete maintenance work orders.
• Follow plant safety, lockout/tagout, GMP, and food safety procedures.
