Foster Farms is seeking a Journey Level Mechanic to maintain and troubleshoot production equipment in a day shift, California plant. You will ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with quality standards while driving continuous improvement and preventing downtime.

The role requires strong wiring, control systems knowledge, hydraulics/pneumatics, and the ability to read schematics. Experience with welding and cutting tools, pumps, and gear systems is essential for success.

Competenze

• Must read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Must have good understanding of electronics and PLCs.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Must be able to expertly use welding and cutting equipment.
• Must understand electrical controls, wiring, motor controls, VFDs, relay logic and solid state devices.
• Must be familiar with pumps, gears, and use of hand/power tools with proper PPE.
• Must pass OSHA standards knowledge and guidelines.
• Must understand hydraulics and pneumatics and be able to troubleshoot.

• Ensure production equipment operates safely, reliably and optimally.
• Observe plant equipment to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Help maintain quality and food safety to meet company and USDA standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment promptly with minimal downtime.
• Complete work orders, part requisitions and PMs on schedule with accuracy.
• Promote safety practices and GMP compliance within the department.
