Job summary

Sparks Belting Company, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Grand Haven, MI. The role focuses on improving safety and equipment effectiveness through maintenance, installation, and control of mechanical systems on site.

You will perform preventive maintenance, assist with installations, and troubleshoot various mechanical systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards and production deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with related experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily Preventive Maintenance and Inspection tasks.
• Execute mechanical corrective work orders based on business priorities.
• Maintain equipment in compliance with standard work and safety regulations.
• Assist with mechanical system installation, troubleshooting, and repair as needed.
• Proficient with hydraulic, pneumatic, and other mechanical systems and circuits; contribute to design improvements.
• Maintain records of mechanical PMs.
• Perform routine maintenance on production and auxiliary equipment and support.
• Understand Equipment Reliability for Preventive Maintenance.
• Schedule and balance priorities with supervisor communication.
• Perform other duties to support business objectives.
