Welch Packaging is seeking an hands-on Maintenance Technician to support production operations in Grand Rapids, MI. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and repair production machinery to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Electrical certification preferred.
• Corrugated packaging industry a plus.
• Must read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Must be computer literate with Microsoft environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain company-owned machinery and equipment in proper working order.
• On-call emergency repairs.
• Take control of breakdowns and execute a plan for safety and housekeeping.
• Complete preventative maintenance with the maintenance team.
• Troubleshoot and determine root cause of mechanical issues with operator assistance.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests and prioritize effectively.
• Maintain organization and inventory of the maintenance shop and tools.
