Job summary
Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, repair and maintain large industrial textile processing equipment and facility systems. The role includes start-up/shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, boiler operation, welding, hydraulics, and reading schematics. Reports to Chief Engineer.
The position emphasizes safety, timely repairs, and continuous improvement, with benefits and career development opportunities for full-time staff.
Qualifications
- Two years maintenance engineering experience with machinery, electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics, and boiler applications.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient use of power and hand tools.
- PLC programming experience or coursework.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair and perform preventative maintenance on industrial processing equipment, water systems and related systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and diagnose problems.
- Respond to daily maintenance requests to minimize equipment downtime.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
- Read blueprints and manufacturer manuals to determine correct operation of machinery.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of maintenance performed.
- Follow safety rules, policies and procedures.
- Stay current on equipment repair procedures and best practices.
