Job summary

Mohawk Industries, a global flooring leader and Fortune 500 company, is seeking a Production Technician to provide mechanical and electrical support for laminate production. The role focuses on efficiency, quality, and safety within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will monitor maintenance, participate in preventive maintenance, troubleshoot stoppages, and assist with changeovers while contributing to process improvements, inventory control, and training as needed.

Qualifications

Associate degree in applied technology in industrial/manufacturing or equivalent experience.
Lift Truck Certification preferred.
3+ years hands-on experience in an industrial setting.
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated material handling.

Responsibilities

Monitors and reacts in a timely manner to routine demand maintenance requirements.
Participates in routine Preventive/Predictable Maintenance.
Troubleshoots equipment stoppages and reacts accordingly.
Utilizes various mechanical and electrical test equipment.
Help maintain proper spare part inventory accuracy by utilizing best practices when removing or replacing parts.
Participate in spare part cycle counts when necessary.
Assists with manufacturing during product change-over.
Plans, assists, documents, and implements process improvement techniques and devices.
Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies.
