Job summary

Mohawk Industries is seeking an experienced industrial maintenance professional to troubleshoot repairs and maintain machinery across production lines. You will work with electrical controls, conveyors, and mechanical equipment, supporting production teams to keep the plant running smoothly.

This role requires a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), 2+ years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience, and ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings.

What We Need

This role will troubleshoot repairs and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as electronic controls, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment.

What You'll Do
  • Assist in the development of the production and manufacturing processes.
  • Provide equipment maintenance and technical support to production department.
  • Recommend the correct and appropriate procedures of the production assembly.
  • Minimize equipment downtime and ensure all production equipment is always functional.
  • Test, calibrate, repair, and modify control and instrumentation systems for plant production/process equipment. Prepare reports and records on such activities.
  • Assemble, test, and modify experimental and/or operational electrical machinery, electrical control equipment, electrical circuitry, and components according to engineering specifications in industrial or commercial plants and laboratories.
  • Diagnose causes of malfunctions or failures of instruments and control systems and perform preventive/corrective maintenance.
  • Record data; recommend modification or replacement of failed equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as electronic controls, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.
  • Lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic development and production equipment, parts, components, and systems according to engineering instructions.
  • Analyze and interpret test data.
  • Evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production model.
  • Recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
  • Actively participate in group activities and collaborates with team.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
What You Have
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance field preferred.
  • 2 or more years in industrial electro-mechanical maintenance or relevant experience.

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

  • Capable of interpreting blueprints and CAD drawings.
What else?
  • Occasional exposure to hazardous conditions caused by noise, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and other conditions associated with a high-traffic production floor.
  • Must be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.
  • Bending, crouching, and stooping may be required.
  • Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled facilities.
  • The work environment may be a noisy, high traffic manufacturing production floor.
  • May be required to work a flexible schedule to include evening and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
