Job summary

Austin Wood Recycling is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician in Austin, Texas. This on-site role runs 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM and involves installing, programming, inspecting, testing, and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment to support continuous production.

The position requires a strong mechanical background and ability to read schematics. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting with tech support, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience with electrical/electronic/mechanical or pneumatic equipment.
• Mechanical background required; ability to read electrical schematics.
• Must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, inspect, test, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Maintain equipment in safe and reliable condition.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on control equipment (valves, sensors, motors, gearboxes).
• Troubleshoot issues with factory technical support on-site and remotely.
• Schedule preventative maintenance to improve system reliability.
