Job summary

Austin Wood Recycling is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to install, inspect, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment in a landscape manufacturing setting.

You will work with a team to maintain safety, quality, and productivity, using your mechanical background and toolset. Must pass drug screen and have a valid driver’s license; bilingual is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience installing and maintaining electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment.
• Must possess a mechanical background and understand electrical (480V & 120V).
• Must provide own tools (SAE/metric, ratchet/socket set, wrenches, screwdrivers, multimeter).
• Must pass a drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Bilingual a plus.
• Able to work flexible hours and weekends.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to work in dusty outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, inspect, test, and repair electrical equipment.
• Maintain equipment safely to ensure top performance.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance for control equipment.
• Troubleshoot machinery with on-site or remote support.
• Work indoors/outdoors in a dusty landscape setting.
• Assist with safety training and report accidents.
• Monitor inventory and order parts as needed.
