Job summary

ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors seeks a skilled maintenance technician to perform mechanical/electromechanical duties, maintain and troubleshoot industrial equipment, and document downtime and PM activities. You will help optimize OEE through data analysis and test procedures.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, calibrating instruments, creating SOPs, and contributing to LEAN/6S initiatives while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Perform diversified mechanical, electromechanical or electronic duties in fabrication, testing, and documentation of standard assemblies, modules and systems.
• Document preventive maintenance in SAP PM, record breakdown details and downtime data.
• Provide day-to-day oversight focusing on data collection, UPH, and process yields to optimize machines for OEE.
• Interpret test data and write procedures for standard jobs.
• Respond to unplanned outages to minimize downtime.
• Use test equipment to troubleshoot malfunctions and calibrate instruments.
• Create SOPs and job instructions for maintenance activities.
• Support LEAN and 6S process disciplines.
• May participate in on-call duty and hazardous waste training.
• Communicate with OEMs/vendors to expedite repairs and part procurement.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial automated manufacturing equipment; document downtime.
• Document PM activities in SAP PM and analyze downtime data to improve OEE.
• Oversee process equipment operations focusing on data collection, UPH, yields.
• Write test procedures and interpret data for standard jobs.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Calibrate and maintain test equipment; write procedures for tests.
• Fabricate, retrofit and repair using hand and power tools.
• Draft SOPs and work instructions for maintenance tasks.
• Assist in LEAN and 6S implementations.
