Job summary

ams OSRAM USA Inc. is seeking a maintenance professional to perform diversified mechanical, electromechanical, and electrical duties in our fabrication and testing environment. You will troubleshoot, repair, and document activities while supporting LEAN and 6S practices in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role requires strong technical aptitude, experience with SAP PM, and ability to read schematics and blueprints. On-site, 12-hour shifts, and lifting up to 50 lbs are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing, maintenance or related technical role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics and controls systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiar with computers and databases (SQL) and IoT platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic maintenance duties on assemblies, modules, and systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated manufacturing equipment.
• Document maintenance activities in SAP PM and track downtime data.
• Monitor data such as UPH, machine uptime, and process yields to optimize OEE.
• Write procedures and interpret data from tests on standard jobs.
• Respond to equipment failures promptly to minimize downtime.
• Calibrate and maintain test equipment and write test procedures.
• Fabricate, retrofit, and repair equipment using hand and power tools.
• Develop standard operating procedures and work instructions for maintenance tasks.
• Support LEAN and 6S process discipline.
