Ascend Staffing is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician for a pulp mill facility in Centralia, WA. This full-time, day shift role offers weekly pay and a direct path to permanency through a temp-to-hire arrangement.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment, troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems, and reading blueprints and manuals to support shutdown projects. Authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with conveyors, motors, pumps, hydraulics, or pneumatics preferred.
• Ability to diagnose equipment issues.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable performing physical maintenance work.
• Safety-focused mindset.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems.
• Repair and replace equipment components including: bearings, motors, pumps, valves, gearboxes, belts, chains.
• Perform equipment inspections and identify potential failures.
• Assist with equipment repairs and shutdown projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Complete maintenance work orders and documentation.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Follow OSHA and company safety standards.
• Work with production teams to reduce equipment downtime.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Assist with additional maintenance duties as assigned.
