Job summary

Riviana Foods Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on milling and parboiling equipment and related processing systems.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults, install and repair equipment, and ensure safety, compliance with GMP/HACCP/OSHA, and clean, organized work areas. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required.
• 1+ years of industrial maintenance preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain and repair milling and parboiling equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment and electrical control panels, conveyors, pumps, pneumatic and processing systems.
• Clean, lubricate and adjust parts and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical faults in equipment.
• Input and retrieve maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
• Communicate knowledge and observations regarding process and equipment performance to maintenance personnel, operations and management.
• Comply with internal and external policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Keep work areas organized and sanitary to set standards.
• Adhere to GMP, HACCP, OSHA and company policies.
• Ensure personal safety and safety of others in the area.
