Job summary

Liberty Tire Recycling is seeking a Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining and repairing a variety of equipment and systems, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

This position requires a hands‑on approach to troubleshooting and servicing mechanical and electrical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Liberty Tire Recycling is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• At least two years of electrical training or experience in mechanical/electrical repair within a manufacturing environment (highly preferred).
• Maintenance manufacturing experience, technical school training, electrical certification, or welding experience (highly preferred).
• Trailer mechanic experience (preferred).
• Previous experience with industrial machinery and equipment maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of equipment and systems.
• Service trailers and repair and replace industrial equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Maintain and repair conveyor systems: install belts, tighten, adjust, straighten, align, and replace parts.
• Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe working conditions.
• Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
• Ensure that all work is completed following safety guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to work in awkward, confined spaces, using proper lifting and rigging techniques for heavy objects.
• Work in both indoor and outdoor environments, which may include extreme temperatures, hazardous equipment, and slippery surfaces.
• Be self-motivated and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
