Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance on conveying systems and rotating equipment, with responsibilities to diagnose issues, communicate resolutions, and ensure equipment meets quality specs. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–5 years’ experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 1–5 years diagnosing and repairing equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work second/third shifts and weekends.
• Experience with large conveyor systems and replacement of belts.
• Must have own basic tools and be able to lift 50 pounds.
• English reading/writing proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Reads manuals to perform maintenance and service.
• Prevents plant breakdowns with planned preventive maintenance on conveyors and rotating equipment.
• Communicates equipment issues and resolutions to operators.
• Repairs or coordinates repair of faulty machinery and tests to meet specs.
• Maintains daily equipment inspection logs to minimize downtime.
• Assists in adjusting procedures to meet production schedules.
