Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment. The role requires reading manuals, performing preventive maintenance, and communicating issues to operators.

Work environment is often dirty and safety compliant. The successful candidate will progressively take on more responsibility with experience, supporting plant operations and equipment performance to meet production

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–5 years experience diagnosing and repairing equipment.
• Ability to work overtime and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Excellent reading and writing English required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret equipment manuals for maintenance and service.
• Perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, power transmissions and rotating equipment.
• Communicate equipment issues and resolutions to operators.
