Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Midlothian Cement Plant in Texas. You will perform maintenance, welding, inspection, and installation of equipment with a focus on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, conducting preventative maintenance, and using SAP for work orders and reports. A high school diploma is required, with trade training preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Trade school or training preferred.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety and health policies.
• Must wear PPE including respirators and be clean shaven for fit tests.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, manlift, light crane, drill press, cut-off saw, pipe threader, hydraulic press, iron worker and other hand tools.
• Read blueprints, sketches, or detailed instructions to perform welding and cutting work.
• General rigging knowledge.
• Repair equipment such as fans, belts, conveyors, mills and other material handling equipment.
• Read schematics and understand hydraulics at a basic level.
• Respond to call-outs during non-work hours as needed.
• Maintain bearings installation and care.
• Make preventative maintenance inspections and prepare forms and reports.
• Create and update SAP work orders and manage inventory requisitions.
• Follow prescribed safety equipment and procedures and work rotating shifts.
