Job summary

Surfside Laundry in Foley, AL is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team at our commercial laundry facility. The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.

You will diagnose and repair equipment in a fast-paced industrial setting, read manuals and diagrams, and support boiler operation with maintenance and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial maintenance experience required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills required.
• Electrical experience required.
• Boiler experience required.
• Ability to read and understand manuals, diagrams, and basic equipment instructions.
• Ability to work independently and respond quickly to equipment issues.
• Must be dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a production environment.
• Welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial laundry equipment, mechanical systems, electrical components, boilers, pumps, motors, conveyors, and related facility equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and keep production equipment operating efficiently.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and complete timely repairs.
• Assist with boiler operation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Perform equipment inspections and identify potential safety or maintenance concerns.
• Repair or replace parts, components, wiring, belts, bearings, motors, valves, and other equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and equipment operating standards.
• Assist with welding, fabrication, and facility repair projects as needed.
