Job summary

Mission Linen Supply is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician responsible for repairing, maintaining, installing and troubleshooting industrial equipment like washers, dryers, conveyors, and boilers. The role includes preventive maintenance, welding and boiler safety, with emphasis on documenting maintenance records.

In this in-plant position, you should have strong technical knowledge, be able to work with mechanical/electrical systems, and demonstrate leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of two years of maintenance engineering experience with knowledge of machinery, electricity, electronics, plumbing, welding, and boiler applications.
• Experience with mechanical troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics; able to read repair manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on plant equipment to keep machines running smoothly.
• Manoeuvre morning start-up and evening shutdown of equipment including boiler, air compressor, pumps and valves.
• Maintain lint traps, shaker screen barrels, oil levels, grease fittings and water levels.
• Complete general repairs on machinery and document maintenance per schedule.
• Follow manufacturer maintenance schedules and report major repairs needed.
• Identify and report other major repairs required on equipment.
