Job summary

Talent Management Plus, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician in Rockford, IL to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced facility. You will ensure uptime by performing preventive maintenance and quick responses to breakdowns.

The role requires hands-on experience with stamping presses, conveyors, automation equipment, hydraulics and pneumatics, plus a strong safety and quality mindset. Monday–Friday shift, 5:00 AM start, with competitive pay.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
NFPA-70E Electrical safety training.
Electrical control panel building / wiring.
Fanuc Robotics control / programming.
Pneumatic education.
Motor control systems building / troubleshooting.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments.
Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
Basic computer skills.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair various production machines such as robots, hard automation, and presses.
Perform electrical maintenance on CNC machines, lathes, drills, mills, and grinders.
Remove and replace equipment as needed for repairs.
Identify vendors capable of completing tasks.
Recommend parts to order for machine and equipment repairs.
Troubleshoot equipment problems and PLCs.
Perform and document preventive maintenance.
Stay current on preventive maintenance procedures to reduce downtime.
Diagnose electrical issues including motor controls, wiring, and power distribution.
