Job summary

MATTR is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure reliability, safety, and performance of plant equipment at our Tipton, IA facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment, support asset management, and uphold health and safety standards.

The role requires a Journeyman Millwright/Welder with 3+ years industrial experience, ability to read diagrams, and capable of working second shift (3:30 pm–2:00 am) with

Qualifications

• Journeyman Millwright/Welder with a minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of maintenance practices involving mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and building systems.
• Ability to read and work from wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and maintenance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment used in the production of underground storage tanks and related accessories.
• Support the Asset Management Program by maintaining active assets and improving overall equipment reliability.
• Follow daily inspection routines based on reliability-centered maintenance practices, including testing, inspection, lubrication, adjustment, calibration, and tagging processes.
• Coordinate maintenance efforts with equipment suppliers and external partners as required.
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues and support repair activities to minimize downtime.
