Industrial Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift | Harlan, IA

A growing industrial manufacturing organization in Harlan is actively seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Technician to support production operations through troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of industrial equipment and facility systems. This is a full‑time, direct hire opportunity offering strong long‑term stability, profit sharing, and growth potential within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Schedule

• 1st Shift | Monday–Friday
• 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Flexibility for overtime, weekends, and on‑call support as needed

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on industrial production equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair:
• CNC machines
• PLCs & VFDs
• Hydraulic & pneumatic systems
• Electrical systems (110V–480V)
• HVAC and facility infrastructure
• Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics
• Support facility systems including compressed air, lighting, plumbing, and power distribution
• Utilize CMMS systems to track maintenance activities and work orders
• Assist with fabrication, welding, and component repair
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, LOTO, and NFPA safety standards
• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience OR equivalent technical training
• Strong electrical & mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment
• Knowledge of CNC machinery, PLC troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC systems
• Comfortable using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and fabrication equipment
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
