Who You Are:
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years industrial maintenance experience in an industrial setting. Glass industry experience preferred.
What You Will Be Doing:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and repairs to our production equipment to minimize downtime. All activities must adhere to safety standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advise management on developments affecting profit, schedule, costs, and departmental relations.
- Perform mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance on electric-power generating equipment and related systems.
- Consult with contractors on installation, servicing, and repairs, and assist with startup of new equipment or facilities.
- Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance on machinery.
- Communicate with operators across shifts.
- Identify and resolve operational issues, recommending new techniques or technologies.
- Maintain knowledge of safety policies and regulations.
- Analyze downtime causes and machine errors to diagnose issues.
- Inspect parts for defects and perform troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Follow diagrams, manuals, and manufacturer instructions for repairs.
- Diagnose and repair CNC and PLC systems.
- Verify repairs by operating machinery post-repair.
- Report equipment faults and maintain repair records.
- Assist with inventory management of parts and supplies.
- Control downtime through routine maintenance communication.
- Operate cutting and welding tools for fabrication and repairs.
- Use various tools and testing devices.
Skills You Bring:
- Prior industrial maintenance experience required.
- Knowledge of three-phase motors, controls, circuits, PLCs, VFDs.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
- Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic, and computer tools.
- Experience with water and compressed air systems.
- Problem-solving skills and data analysis.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Basic computer and email skills.
