Job Description

PrideStaff Columbus East, working with the largest vinyl siding manufacturer in Columbus, OH, has a full-time opening for an Industrial Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for preventive and routine maintenance functions for all extrusion equipment and support systems across manufacturing facilities.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot PCs and PLCs
• Install new plant equipment
• Document changes, equipment modifications, and new installations
• Plan work using electrical and mechanical theories to minimize production disruption
• Practice predictive and preventative maintenance approaches
• Develop knowledge of material conveying, process water, chilled water, and compressed air systems, including proficiency in PMs and rebuilding components
• Set up barrels and screws on extruders
• Prepare equipment for production runs
• Work independently to complete assigned tasks
• Install power for equipment modifications and new installations
• Follow company policies for software updates, filing, and archiving of PLC/PC applications
• Use and maintain CMMS programs
• Adhere to safety rules and company policies

Industrial Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
• Experience with blending and extrusion equipment
• Knowledge of 3-phase, 480V power systems
• Familiarity with PC and PLC equipment
• Ability to climb and work at heights
• Knowledge of 5S and lean principles
