Job Description:

Pitney Bowes is seeking an onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician, 2nd Shift in our Levittown, Pennsylvania Presort Services facility. There are 2 slots for this job.

The hourly pay rate is $27 with a $1 per hour shift differential.

Your 2nd Shift work schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday from 2:45PM - 11:15PM EST.

You are a performance-driven contributor who can effectively troubleshoot, repair, or diagnose complex mechanical or electrical issues on industrial equipment. You are a self-motivated individual seeking opportunities to improve current practices, increase efficiency, and reduce downtime of industrial mail sorting equipment.

You will:

• Perform complex mechanical and electronic repairs of conveyor machines, PLC systems, and other industrial electromechanical production equipment (Mail Sorters/Printers).
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations on industrial machinery including belt/pulley systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components, motors, photo-eyes, relays, drive assemblies, limit switches, proximity sensors, and solenoids.

• Complete preventative maintenance according to industry standards.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns or emergency situations.
• Utilize inventory, preventive maintenance schedules, and work order systems to reduce downtime.
• Maintain the spare parts/supply inventory using Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
• Evaluate and troubleshoot equipment problems, completing repairs in a timely manner.
• Use a tablet to track work, machine downtime, and inventory used in repairs.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Your background as an onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician includes:

• Current work experience at Pitney Bowes as an onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician.
• 2-6 years of troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment.
• Familiarity with servicing conveyor machines, PLC systems, and other electromechanical production equipment.
• Experience with electronic testing equipment like multi-meters.
• Ability to read schematics, charts, service manuals, and parts diagrams.
• Familiarity with Windows PC environment related to automated equipment operation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot, prioritize, and work under deadlines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodations.
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend for 80% of the workday.
